Name: Jin'mei Night Garnet "Jinn"
Age: 20
Gender: female
Animal Form: White tiger
Personality:
Jinn is secretive, but somehow manages to keep the trust and loyalty of her people strong. Jinns bravery and her sense of honor dictates a lot of what she does, her fighting abilities are amazing but the risks she is willing to take in battle and the odds of some of those battles she has fought and won have earned her the respect and amazement of her men and some of those people out their who see the Garnet as heroes.
Jinn doesn't fear death or being harmed- rather she fears losing in their attempts to bring the war to an end above anything else, its this fearlessness that helps her jump into any battle that has an honorable meaning. Fight to defend, fight to free the country of war-those are the rules she plays by; Fight for justice and peace and don't draw blood casually, no innocent blood is to be spilled by any Garnet member.
The deaths of soldiers is saddening to her, But ending the war is first priority and sometimes fighting is the only way to save something.
She is cunning and stubborn and wont back down in a fight. Like her Tiger self she is ferocious in battle and sometimes more solitary than most- both enjoying being alone and requiring it to make her solitary tendencies make sense to them, they would see that's how she always was and wouldn't try to be too clingy with her and become a close friend and possibly (Like Raiu had) Figure out her secret.
Jinn isn't just a leader because of her blood being descended from the first leader of the Garnet (though that fact is a definite plus) But because of her care and her dedication and her years and years of training- few in the Garnet had been trained to fight and to lead since they were just old enough to walk and not yet old enough to read.
Jinn is more honorable than most twice her age; putting her men's needs before her own every time, If they are low on food, she eats less than everyone. If there is a rule, she follows it better than anyone. She is a leader through and through, though at times she may seem harsh and to the point she only does this to keep her men in line- for that purpose she keeps a no nonsense attitude on the job.
since none of her men (her parents had long since died) save her second in command know she is a 'she' she cant act feminine at all. Jinn drinks and jokes like a man. Moves like one and has taken this on so much it is natural to her now. When she is alone though she doesn't act so strict on it even though she has become accustomed to acting like a man and thus it has become an easy thing to do and second nature to her.
obviously she cant bathe or swim with her comrades or take her shirt off in extreme heat- They just think 'he' is solitary and keeps 'his' shirt on in the heat as a test of endurance (Not a strange idea since there is a lot she does to keep herself in good fighting shape, sparring, meditating, fasting- etc) A guy that likes his space when on 'his' free time.
Looks:
Silver blue eyes that have the look of one far older than she really is, are framed by dark black eyelashes and are slightly slanted and Tiger like in appearance. Her hair is thick and Chestnut brown and is sometimes messy around her shoulders but mostly tied in a low pony tail behind her head.
Jinn dresses like a man constantly; she has never really been that feminine. Her normal clothes consist of: Bindings to hide her chest, tied so tight its a wonder she can breath! Black pants a size to big tied with a wide black belt to carry her pistol and her sword and any other weapons or poisons. And a baggy white cotton pirate like shirt that goes just below her elbows, her hands are always shoved into fine masculine black leather Arm guards/gloves that go up to mid arm.
Jinns hands are callused and rough from fighting and not considered feminine enough to be a giveaway.
Jinns vest is Black as well, going down to her ankles looking more like a coat minus sleeves. Her face isn't exactly the most masculine but its not feminine enough to give her away.
Shes tall, a fact she is thankful for, standing at six feet tall she can pass as a guy easy enough.

Rank: Leader of the Garnet
Kingdom: Unknown
History:
Jinn was born to the last leader and last remaining man with the blood of the first leader of the Garnet, It was clear her father- Wulfric would have preferred a son and tried for one many years, praying that he would leave a son to look after the Garnet and lead them to victory as it had always been, never before had their been a female leader.
Sadly, Jin'mei's mother never conceived another child having nearly lost her life and clearly lost her ability to give birth bringing Jinn'mei into the world. And so Jin'mei stepped up and took it on, refusing to let her gender rule her destiny, learning to be the leader even through her fathers clear disapproval that the next leader would be female.
Her father was let down but couldn't deny Jinn'mei was a good fighter, phenomenal and had a natural leading ability and the resolve to finish any task or training, she always was very strong minded and knew exactly what she wanted to be. And so for her father Jin'mei became Jinn, she looked and acted like a boy so she could take her ailing fathers place as leader when he could no longer do it.
Jinn trained hard, sometimes forgetting to eat or sleep in her dedication to her future. She never gave up hope that the war would be ended and the Garnet would be no longer considered vigilantes to anyone. and soon after she was deemed ready to take the lead, her father gave up his struggle to stay alive and his ailment took him. Her mothers death was a mystery, the house had burned down with her in it and so it was impossible to tell if it was suicide or an accident.
Jinn didn't let those losses stop her from taking command of her fathers, and now her, forces. She is fierce and though her eyes hold that strong, fearless and ruthless gleam she wants nothing more than to stop the war and honor her family. She lost many friends and allies in her years of fighting, being so young elected leader she had to act as if she had an iron will, a chrome heart and she did it well up until the fateful day she and her second in command, her best friend Ran was struck down by a warrior of the Illyx in the middle of battle.
It the one time Jinn ever lost concentration in battle, and the first time her emotions ruled her. Jinn ran as fast as her legs could take her to her friend who she had seen stabbed through the stomach, the warrior rearing back to land a second blow that would be the killing blow. Jinn ran so fast she was nearly a blur, praying to god that she would get there in time and her second in command would live. But she was to late and lashed out in anger when she saw her friends headless body- she struck with a battle cry that caught a lot of peoples attention; lost in rage she forgot the others and she was ganged up on and slashed across her midsection- a blow that had nearly killed her.
They won the battle but Jinn never once felt it was victory. To lose someone so dear to her was horrid and unforgettable, her loss of control over her emotions was also a disgrace in her eyes. She lost consciousness half way to help. Jinn woke up being tended to by a healer who called himself Raiu, and admitted to having seen evidence that she was a woman.
Jinn had at first been troubled, angry even and had lashed out at him, slapping his hand away from changing her wrappings and asking him why he hadnt run off and tattled the information to a kingdom for money, his answer had calmed her enough to stick around. "I do not lie...Plus...Ilyx needs to pay. I want the war to end. Too much death. Too much sadness." "It isn't healthy for anyone." Jinn was taken aback, and had after that taken to asking about him every day while she was recovering in his care, asking who he was and how he got here and why he was so comfortable healing what was technically a criminal and the leader of the Garnet. His answer to that amused and suprised her- "You were injured. Thats all the excuse I need." amongst others earned her respect and she had taken him with her; not wanting to leave him behind to be found by those who hunted for him.
The Garnet had taken people into protective custody before but never had they accepted one so readily into their ranks since most had no fighting skills. But Raiu was different and being around the Garnet leader as much as he was he was accepted by most of them.
They fought together in many battles, Raiu rising to the rank of second command, filling the empty position that had been empty since the death of Ran though it was hard for Jinn to give her dear friends position away even though Ran was dead. Some accused Jinn of favoritism seeing how they had become closer friends than any others were with Jinn- but she showed them swiftly who they were talking too and that accusations like that were ridiculous.
Raiu had proved himself in battle and so she didn't heed any of their opinions and after a while Raiu proved it even more he was worthy of the position, no one doubts him and those that do are only bitter they had not been given the rank.
Not soon after Jinn and Raiu grew closer than before eventually becoming lovers in secret. It was yet another secret to add to her growing list, a fact that was amusing to Jinn at the same time as being hard to keep. But the secret was kept- their closeness made seem that they were best friends, brothers almost. If only they knew their comfortable companionship was deeper than one of camaraderie alone.
Jinn was fierce and gained respect or fear or sometimes both wherever she went, but there were also those who hated her worth a passion-she is one of the most wanted people in the lands, more bounties on the Garnet than sand in the sea, and more bounties on the leader of the Garnet than stars in the sky. It was easy to get through towns in places where people hadn't seen her face personally, merely heard stories. But there were wanted posters with pictures drawn with her likeness that made it hard for her.
